5k Race Series

2010 marks the 5th anniversary of the Capital District YMCA 5K Run/ Walk Race Series. Through a dedicated group of volunteers from the running community and staff, we are able to host six 5K events designed to build strong kids, families and communities, by acting as a fundraiser for the Reach Out For Youth Scholarship Program.   As part of promoting an active and healthy lifestyle, the CDYMCA race series brings together 100’s of runners of all ages and abilities.

Wonderful events like the 5K Race Series could not happen without the tremendous efforts of our many valued volunteers. This year we will need more volunteers than ever with our series growing. Volunteering is a wonderful opportunity to not only give back to your community but feel great about doing it at the same time.
