Day Camp Themes

WEEK 1: The Four Core Values.
  Wear a different color for each day of the week.  Tuesday is red, Wednesday is yellow, Thursday is blue and Friday will be green.  Our four core value team: Captain Caring, Respectful Ronda, True Blue Betty and Super Responsible man will perform each day during the week. All characters will perform a skit on Friday with a few mystery guests.

WEEK 2: Holiday Week.
  All your favorite holidays wrapped up into one week! Dress up in costume and trick-or-treat on Tuesday July 3rd , celebrate Valentines Day July 5th , hunt for eggs on Friday and meet Benny the break dancing Bunny. Bring your Friend Friday for ($5)-Campers can bring a friend to camp Friday July 6th for just $5. Pre registration is required. Immunization forms must be completed and handed in before Friday July 6th.

WEEK 3: YMCA Camp IDOL.
  Counselors and campers will be placed into groups to learn an act or dance combination.  Camp performances will be on Friday.  Parents can attend to watch our own version of “American IDOL”!

WEEK 4: Wacky Water Week.
  Counselors and campers will be participating in aqua adventures and water battles. Water guns are allowed to camp for this week ONLY. Additional activities will include water balloon toss, a dunk tank, slip and slides just to name a few.  Extra clothes this week would be a good idea!

WEEK 5: Rewind Time Week.
  Campers and staff can dress according to specific decades!  Tuesday will be the psychedelic 60’s; Wednesday, the sensational 70’s; Thursday is the happenin’ 80’s; and Friday the nifty 90’s. Skits will be preformed each day to go along with a trivia contest about each decade!

WEEK 6: Dance Fever Week.
  Catch the Fever all week long. Come to camp prepared to show off your best dance moves. Campers can challenge counselors to dance battles each morning. Our Camper vs. Camper Dance Dance Revolution contest will reveal the Camp CHAMP of D.D.R.

WEEK 7: Sports Week.
  Do you have what it takes to be a CHAMPION. The first annual Camp 4 Square tournament. Dress as your favorite sports team all week long. There will be a C.I.T vs. staff Flag Football game, and a staff vs. C.I.T basketball game.  Participation in the sports games will be voluntary.  Be a Fan, Cheerleader or a Participant! Just a reminder the Camp Director loves the New York Yankees and the Dallas Mavericks.

WEEK 8: Carnival Adventure.
All week long we will have special activities, including a water gun shooting gallery, Ring toss, Teen Campers will host a taste our treats contest. Best tasting treat wins the prize. The C.I.T’s will host a craft fair on Friday. An all camp carnival on Friday with cotton candy, a bouncy bounce and more!

WEEK 9: Opposite Week.
  Campers and counselors will wear clothing backwards all week.  The campers will have an opportunity to be camp director or switch roles with their favorite counselor.

WEEK 10: Final Fling Week.
Its time to finish the summer in style! Special events will be held all week long including inventors contest, piñata party and solve the mystery contest.
